Shredding fans are a key tool in the transport of long materials.
The main task of shredding fans is to shred or cut the material being transported. Thanks to their special design, the fans provide many years of reliable, trouble-free operation. Their rotors are made of high-strength grade, bend-resistant steel in order to minimise the deformation of knives and teeth and ensure a higher efficiency and durability of the fan.
The shredding fans have been carefully designed to prevent the material from wrapping around the rotor, which would adversely affect performance. Special knives and shredding teeth instead of blades are adapted to the specific characteristics of the material to ensure high shredding performance. The design of the fans ensures optimum flow of air mixed with the shredded material to maximise performance.
It should be borne in mind, however, that due to the special design of shredding fans and their adaptation to shredding and cutting materials, the use of shredding fans in place of transport fans will most often be associated with lower efficiency compared to transport fans and therefore higher power consumption.
All types of shredding fans are available as upright fans with a classic design and are suitable for installation both indoors and outdoors. The special shape of the casing allows the fan to be easily sheathed if additional soundproofing is required.
These fans have a special adjustable inlet that allows the gap between the rotor and the inlet duct to be adjusted for optimum airflow.
The fans are suitable for shredding such materials as corrugated cardboard, plastics, foil, paper, aluminium foil, etc.
The direct drive fan has a number of advantages that make it the most preferred solution on the market. First and foremost, it is appreciated for its simplified design, which means greater reliability and lower maintenance requirements. Thanks to the direct connection between the motor and the rotor, the fan offers a high level of efficiency and reliable long-term operation.
